A ninth special edition!
SIEE Pollutec, the international exhibition of equipment, technologies and water services, organized by Reed Expositions France and Symbiosis, Communication, Environment, in partnership with the Algerian Ministry of Water Resources, closed its 9th consecutive edition confirming its leading position in Africa living in the water sector, renowned for its quality and professionalism.
Since its launch in 2005, this annual event has accompanied the major changes in Algeria and their
gigantic investment program relating, for independence in the mobilization, production and distribution of drinking water, the gradual establishment of sanitation services fight against the impact of discharges of domestic water on the population health but also devices to protect the environment and among other reduce the environmental footprint of industrial waste on groundwater and soil.
Her outfit, for the second time in the beautiful Oran Convention Centre has contributed to
strengthening its reputation among stakeholders of supply and industry professionals.
PROMISES KEPT: 7661 VISITORS (+ 6.2% VERSUS 2012) AND 319 EXHIBITORS FROM 20 COUNTRIES
This ninth edition has largely kept its promises in welcoming 7661 visitors, a figure up + 6.2% compared to the previous edition in Algiers in 2012, mainly from private businesses, government (central and regional) and state companies *.
A visitor numbers also high quality as witnessed by the exhibitors on the living room *.
Mobilizing a total area of nearly 12,000 square meters and registering a growth of 17.5% of its surfaces Net booth – 80% domestic and 20% international – compared to the 2012 edition, the show gathered a rich, diversified and international technologies adapted to countries subject to stress problems water presented by 319 exhibitors, of which 49% domestic and 51% international from 20 countries.
Highlight of the show, the official opening of Monday, May 27 reflected the magnitude of the event and the stakes through the presence of Hocine NECIB, Minister of Water Resources, accompanied a motorcade, which went to the meeting of Algerian and international exhibitors for more than 3
hours and ended his visit with a press briefing.
Sign of the dynamism and importance of collaborations bilateral between Algeria and its international partners, the show also received several visits representatives of foreign embassies in Algeria, and that of the French Minister of Foreign Trade, Nicole BRICK in the renewal of the agreement between the National Agency for the Promotion and Rationalizing the use of energy in Algeria -l’APRUE – and the Environment Agency and the Fluent in French Energy – ADEME.
NATIONAL OFFER: MOBILISATION RECORD 80% OF THE SURFACE OF EXPOSURE!
Year after year, the sector Algerian players are always represented and held this year 80% of the exhibition area (78% in 2012).
While the public sector was mobilized through the pavilion of the Ministry of Water Resources – agencies under guardianship – ADE, ANBT, ANRH, ANO ONID, INPE – watershed agencies – ABH – First of all, but also through the stands of water companies and sanitation cities of Algiers, Oran and Constantine – SEAAL, SEOR and SEACO – or undertakings entrusted with the implementation of major hydraulic works – holding SGPERGTHY-.
The private sector was also well represented with stands of manufacturers and distributors
national and international facilities, including industry leaders, and those of foreign companies
Algerian law, including many international references.
ALWAYS RENEWED INTEREST OF FOREIGN OPERATORS: 20 NATIONALITIES REPRESENTED!
Attracted by the many market opportunities offered by Algeria in the management and treatment
water, 163 foreign companies from 20 countries were represented at the show. Six countries presented themselves through national pavilions: the faithful for the first time in Spain through ICEX – Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade – and France (2nd exhibitor country) through UBIFRANCE, but also the Netherlands, led by NABC – Netherlands-African Business Council – which is presented for the third consecutive year, China with a group of 7 companies, or the US and Italy with respectively 3 and 10 companies.
Finally, companies from 13 countries were represented on individual stands or through their Algerian partners: Germany (12 companies), Austria, Belgium, Canada, India, Ireland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal (6 exhibitors), Czech Republic, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey and Tunisia.
NEWS OF THE SECTOR U HEART OF THE SHOW
As usual, SIEE Pollutec has a major role to the nature of technical conferences and workshops to promote the dissemination of technology, setting the regulatory point and exchanges of all kinds between conscious professionals to share best practices and lessons learned from extensive investment program committed by the country for a decade.
For this 2013 edition, the 9th International Symposium developed in consultation with the Ministry of Water Resources addressed two main themes: Improving public sector governance of Water and optimizing the use of electrical energy in the development of hydraulic installations with over 20 topics.
Other news items could be addressed through workshops Technical animated by exhibitors: protection against floods, wastewater reuse for irrigation, automation and remote control of pipe systems, trenchless technology, dredging hydraulic, dewatering and thickening of sludge, etc.
Finally, in response to the rapid development under the leadership of national authorities, industry markets the environment, the fair welcomed for the first time an environmental conference day on
the theme of the management of household waste and the establishment of sorting channels and recycling in the west Algeria, which was a big hit with visitors concerned.
It consisted of a round table framed by the President of the Popular Assembly of the Wilaya of Oran, Mr. Abdelhak Kazitani in the presence of Mayors of the province and it was followed by technical workshops presented by exhibitors. The theme also addressed by the Director of Environment of the Wilaya of Oran, Mohamed Mekkakia-Maaza and Director of the International Action of ADEME, Mrs. Dominique Campana. In parallel, a course Environment at the show was able to identify the exhibitors who also active in the Markets waste, air and energy.
